About PFL

The mission of P.F.L. Publishing: Editing, Coaching, and Ghostwriting Services is to provide excellent service to all writers, and to ensure that all are completely satisfied with their written product. P.F.L. specializes in correcting grammatical errors that are often overlooked by writers, including punctuation, spelling, syntax, verb tense, and much more. It also serves to provide guidance to the writer throughout the process of completing and perfecting his or her work. 

Editing and Writing-Coach Services:

1.      If you are a potential writer who is looking to make book writing and publishing a career or side job, I want to offer my expertise in helping you develop exceptional writing skills.

2.      My work does not simply focus on correcting grammatical errors of a manuscript; rather, it focuses on perfecting one’s writing craft.

3.      Clients who hire me as a writing coach and editor can receive extensive coaching sessions for the duration of each book project (for fiction and non-fiction books). 

4.      Together, we would schedule meetings that would be used to collaborate and discuss ways of making the content and technicality of the writing better.

5.      Even if you do not have a completed manuscript, and are looking to work with a coach to help you through the process, my services are available. 

6.      The purpose of my services is to train writers in the art and craft of writing so that future assistance becomes minimal or unnecessary. In other words, once you have received the teaching needed for doing excellent work, it will become less expensive to have others edit or correct your manuscript. 

7.      Some examples of what I do include:

a.       OCPC (Obsessive compulsive perfectionist correction) editing—detailed focus on perfecting the work

                                                              i.      grammatical corrections--punctuation

                                                            ii.      syntax—order of words in a sentence

                                                          iii.      cohesion—ensuring that the sequence or order of sentences coincide so that the reader “feels” that the content of the work flows well; this depends on how each sentence ends and how the subsequent sentence begins; making individual sentences clear, and a series of sentences cohesive; like glue, making sure that each sentence fits perfectly together

                                                          iv.      coherence—recognizing what the final product of the sentences in a piece of writing add up to; ensuring that the sentences all relate to the specific topic

                                                            v.      concision—deleting words that mean little or nothing; deleting repeated words; delete words implied by other words; replace phrases with a word; change negatives to affirmatives

       

Pricing:

            Clients must pay the full price for this service BEFORE any work begins unless otherwise specified by both parties.  

• $5.25 per page/per project: Unlimited editing and coaching services for the duration of the project; assistance with completing initial manuscript

           

          

Ghostwriting Process

1.    2.      Standard book length is 200-300 pages.

3.      Price for ghostwriting service is $20 per page

4.      Ask for ghostwriting contract.

Refer-a-friend Discount:

Clients who refer another potential client to P.F.L. Publishing: Editorial and Ghostwriting Services will receive a $25 gift certificate, which can be used towards their current editorial/coaching services. (One gift certificate per editing project.)

Method to Edit Manuscripts:

Correction changes are made using Microsoft Word “Track Changes.”
